Richard joins First Base as Design Manager from architectural firm PLP, where he spent the past 5 years working on a number of projects, providing monitoring services for clients. In addition to this he worked proactively with contractors and design teams to attain best value whilst delivering good design, quality and workmanship.
Prior to PLP, Richard worked at AEDAS & Woodhead, where he was lead architect on a number of projects including 25 Copthall Avenue, The Jack Petchey Academy & The Bracknell Health Trust Cancer Trust in the UK, and the Osborne Park Hospital redevelopment, Forrest Place redevelopment and the Newman Civic Centre in Australia.
The appointment of Richard follows a strong 2018 for First Base with growth in its project pipeline, most recently gaining planning permission for a £120m development in Brighton that will transform the previous Amex House building in Edward Street to deliver homes & workspace for the City.
