Parkhurst Gardens, Islington | First Base

Parkhurst Gardens

First Base has acquired a 1.5 acre former Territorial Army Centre on Parkhurst Road in Islington from the Secretary of State for Defence.

Our plans will provide 112 homes within an attractive landscaped garden and courtyard, and an inspirational design that complements the surrounding architecture and character of the area. The scheme meets Code for Sustainable Homes Level 4 with over a 40% reduction in Carbon Dioxide emissions through implementation building fabric, communal heating and plant and the use of renewable energy technologies. All homes will be compliant with Lifetime Homes standards.

The site is just metres from three major tube stations and the bustling shops, restaurants and leisure facilities in nearby Tufnell Park, Angel Islington and Highbury and Islington.

First Base has appointed Allford Hall Monaghan Morris, the leading architecture practice behind the company’s pioneering Adelaide Wharf development, to produce a planning application for the site, which was submitted to the London Borough of Islington in December 2013.
