First Base Head of Design, Daniel May, recently out the aspiration to deliver the high quality flexible workspace which Brighton’s burgeoning creative sector so desperately needs at Edward Street Quarter.
Daniel said: ‘This is all about jobs because jobs create regeneration. We will be looking to bring in local businesses that have outgrown their start-up premises and need somewhere to move to. We want to give them a reason to stay in Brighton and we believe that at the moment there is limited space available.’
Edward Street Quarter is the proposed redevelopment of the former AMEX House, which will deliver 160,000 sq.ft of commercial space to accommodate over 2,000 jobs, alongside 168 homes and space for independent retailers, all set within three new green spaces designed by renowned landscape designers SpaceHub.
The development could provide a £200 million boost to the Brighton economy over ten years.
