First Base were pleased to take part in the Havering Islamic Cultural Centre’s Careers Fair on Saturday 28th September.
First Base and the London Borough of Havering entered into a joint venture to bring forward the regeneration of Bridge Close in Romford. The seven-acre site will deliver new homes, a mix of workspaces, a new school, a cultural and community hub and a health centre and enhanced public realm, including significant green open space and children’s play areas.
The team were able to talk to local residents about the proposals at Bridge Close and the potential training and job opportunities that will be available.
Phil Wade, Director, First Base said: “The careers event was a brilliant opportunity to meet local people and discuss the opportunities available to them. We look forward to delivering jobs and training for Havering residents as part of the plans for Bridge Close. Many thanks to the Havering Islamic Cultural Centre for organising this”.
